VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - RELIGIOUS
EDUCATION
| Every facet of parish life is dependent on the
generous giving of time and talent by parishioners. Below are some
areas where help is always needed and connected with the Religious
Education Office. |
Nursery Care for toddlers during the 11:00
AM
Mass each Sunday
Sunday School Teachers (3,4,5 year olds) during
the 11:00 A.M. Mass each Sunday
Catechists (catechism teachers) for Grades 1-6:
Once a week 4:00 - 5:30 P.M. on Mondays
Catechists (catechism teachers) for Grades 7-8:
Once a week 5:45 - 7:15 P.M. on Mondays
Religious Education Advisory Committee/Member:
Third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 P.M.
Women's Bible Study Member/Leader: Third
Wednesday of the month at 9:30 A.M.
Coffee and Donuts Hospitality: One Sunday a year
from 7:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
Vacation Bible School Volunteers (One week in
July 8:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.) People are needed as story tellers, music,
games, snacks, group leaders, etc.)
Christ the Good Shepherd Summer Camp for Middle
School (One week mid-summer. Each volunteer works with a team of adults
and plans only one day of activities.)
Christian Service coordinator for Junior High
(once or twice a month organizes visits to nursing homes, food banks,
soup
kitchens, schools for the handicap, etc.)

Often there are
"single" events that need lots of hands (e.g. First Eucharist Retreat
Day.) These events are usually advertised and the success of the event
depends on the generosity of volunteers
