Funeral Lunch Teams

Funeral Lunch Teams consist of five or six persons who prepare a meal for the family after a funeral Mass at the parish. The family of the deceased makes the request to the parish and the parish contacts the team.

Currently there are four teams who prepare the luncheon on a rotational basis as well as a Saturday team.

Donors: The team contacts donors who donate food for the luncheon.

Prayer for the Deceased: Every first Sunday in November a prayer service is held for the deceased members of the past year. Members from the funeral teams usually prepare the refreshments for this service.

Volunteers: The parish is always looking for more persons who can assist on the teams. The Saturday team is set up for those who work during the week but would like to assist on Saturday. Anyone able to assist is asked to call the parish office at 313-928-1324.
