Dear Good Shepherd School
Parents:
We acknowledge & appreciate & introduce all CGS parents to the
following parents who form our leadership
teams for the organizations that focus time, energy and spirit
upon our school children. These organizations help support and
supplement your child's overall growth and development in academic,
social and athletic opportunities and activities.
These groups remind you that in addition to serving our children, their
activities and programs are also meant to help, support and serve YOU, the
school parents! We, as adults, must always continue to grow &
develop in our social interactions, community service and in our roles
as parents. By being an active, involved parent, you can provide
yourself with support, reinforcement and awareness with fellow
parents. You can also make new friends and gather ideas and
insights about parenthood while having fun & fellowship!
Your responses for our volunteer programs has been great! With so
many full time working parents, our school is blessed with such a high
number of active volunteers! We remind you, however, that you
don't need to fill out a form or formally wait for a turn to be ACTIVE!:
Being a member of Good Shepherd School, you automatically show that you
are COMMITTED & INVESTED
in your child's total educational environment. There are always
opportunities to join in and donate time, talent & energy.
Very often, your support can be on a simple
spiritual level of keeping our school & our children in your daily
thoughts and prayers.
You can help serve hot dogs to the children on a Tuesday . . . you can
express your thoughts & ideas on a School Board questionaire . . .
you can help chalk the soccer field on a Saturday afternoon . . . you
can read stories to our little ones as a Library aide . . . the list of
volunteer opportunies for parent involvement is endless!
