Christ Net
What is it?
Christ Net Warming Center is an
Ecumenical effort to provide safe secure overnight housing for those in need.
When is it?
Christ the Good Shepherd parish offers the
Parish Center as the site for a week in January each year.
How you can you be involved?
About forty to fifty persons
assist as cooks, hosts or helpers over the week. To make this a successful
effort we need:
- Persons willing to work together to prepare a meal.
- Persons willing to stay a shift. (There are two shifts, 7:00pm -1:00am and
1:00-7:00am) The ideal is to have three persons at each shift.
- Persons who are willing to bake cookies or bring bread or fruit or anything
for a bag lunch.
- Persons willing to pick up and wash sheets and towels a couple of times.
Volunteers need only attend one meeting held the week prior to the
event. Marshal LaClair is the coordinator for this event. |
