Ministers of Care
Ministers of Care are persons who represent the parish in bringing news of
parish life and the Eucharist to the homebound.
- Who can do this?Any parish member who is
an active Catholic may be trained to take communion to the Homebound. The parish
provides the training and the Pyx (the container for the Eucharist) for use as
long as the person is a Minister of Care.
- How often does a person visit the
homebound?The time and frequency is negotiated between the Minister of Care
and the person who is homebound, the time is usually once a week.
- Masses of Annointing Scheduled throughout
the year, either at a weekend liturgy or on a Tuesday evening.
