Christ the Good Shepherd Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at Good Shepherd Parish is led by Linda Fox, B.M.M.M. Linda has been a parish organist since the age of 11. She has currently been with Good Shepherd for 18 years. Linda heads the cantor program and the choir programs. Currently we have two choirs: an adult choir and a children's choir.
Adult Choir: Do you like to sing? Are you willing to make a commitment to beautiful music? If so, then the adult choir is for you.

The choir is open to men and women high school age and over. The choir meets every Tuesday evening after the 7PM mass. Rehearsals are from 7:45 to 9:30 PM. It is not necessary for you to have musical training. We have take-home rehearsal tapes for additional help with the music. No audition is required. We are a fun-loving, prayer-filled, caring group that always welcomes new members.
By joining the choir, you will:
- Develop new friendships
- Enjoy leading the parish at prayer
- Experience a caring, spirit-filled family within the parish
- Always have a good seat at mass
- Never need to worry about what to wear to church

Interested in joining? You are invited to attend any rehearsal (see schedule) to see what we are all about. Give us a try!
Children's Choir
The children's choir is open to parish children from grades 3 through 8. We meet for rehearsals on Sunday mornings from 10:10 until 10:45 AM. Children sing at special services like Thanksgiving Eve mass, Christmas Eve pageant mass, Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, and May Crowning. See schedule.
If your child likes to sing, encourage him/her to join the choir. Here is an opportunity to develop new friendships, experience singing in ensemble, and develop their musical talents. No audition is required.
See Ms. Fox for more information.
Cantoring:
Cantors are ordinary people like you who have a special love for music and a desire to help lead a parish liturgical celebration.
Cantors are scheduled approximately once a month.
Cantors are given take-home rehearsal tapes and all the music necessary to practice.
Cantors are expected to practice at home and be prepared to lead the congregation in sung prayer.
Cantors should have pleasant voices (no opera style voices) and good diction.
Cantors are responsible for leading the songs at mass and singing the responsorial psalms and gospel acclamations, as well as an occasional solo or duet song.
See Ms. Fox for more information.
